Peace On Earth Is Your Responsibility

Yes, it is time for each of us to be the change, to take on the responsibility of being an integral part of the whole, all of humankind. If we are to ever rise above a consciousness of separation, selfishness and fear, it will take many individuals focusing their mindset and behavior on oneness, unity and love. Peace will follow.

It does start with our self, as it is our thoughts and feelings which direct the energy we emanate. It’s up to each individual to find a way to embrace the concept of oneness, one humanity. We each have different views and explanations about life, but we have a common source, we are one mankind. Even though we may call it by different names and have different descriptions for it we are in this together.

Just as change in our own life is of our own doing, change in the world is our doing too. But we do need to begin with our self. We can’t logically go out and request others to change to meet our ideal when we are not willing to change.

I think it is time for those who do truly want peace, who see our oneness and want to live in a mindset of love, to come out of the closet. I know there are many who would rather live in a world functioning in love and unity rather than the one operating in separation and selfishness. But so many have kept their feelings quiet, not let them out into the forefront of their talk and behavior because it has been felt that this is not mainstream, not what others want to hear or relate with.

It’s time, it’s time to let others know how you feel, what you want in the world and act the part. It’s time to stop holding back on your deep feelings, and time to stop going along with what is just because it’s there. We perpetuate what we participate in, the change comes not just from your thought of a better, different world, but in the part you play in it.   Humankind

We have waited in the fringes for ‘others’ to fix it, it has not happened, and it won’t happen as long as everyone waits for someone else. It’s our individual responsibility to act as if we are part of the one humankind, not just an onlooker. Just as your thoughts, feelings, energy and actions guide and direct your life, they contribute to the collective consciousness of humankind. One vote may not seem like it counts, but added to all the others who think they don’t count either, and we have enough for a critical mass shift.

Step out now, you will begin to find many others who are more like you, we are no longer a small fragment of society. We can now move from silent minority, to active minority, to the change agent of the shift. . . accepting the freedom! Choose to stop going along with others when it goes against how you really feel. Stop the complaining, the separation behavior, and the disregard for others and the planet.

Selfishness is the bane of humanity, most of what people regard as bad and harmful is based on this.
Take time to think about what it means to be part of one humanity that behaves as one entity. Think about how you can think and act in ways that are inclusive and loving rather than ways that support any kind of separation, anger and hate.

Martin Luther KingAnother area where most people have been waiting for the other person, is with our fear and disconnection with others because they seem unknown and strange. Again, history has shown that waiting for others to appear comfortable to us doesn’t happen. It’s our responsibility to learn more about others so that we can feel more comfortable with them. We can each also assist other people with being more comfortable with us, by clearly expressing who we are. Any act of separation and selfishness only perpetuates division, comfortable interaction with others begins with our dropping those behaviors to help people feel comfortable with us.

The time has come to stop our waiting for others to come around to us, we should make ourselves openly available to them. We should step out and be what we say we want realizing others actually want this too. We can help each other see each other more clearly. We can spend our efforts aligning our thoughts and behaviors with unity or we can continue to use it for separation and all the related negative ramifications.

About John Halderman
I've been studying about life, how it works and what we can do with it for over 30 years. This has included many religions, philosophies, spirituality, psychology and sciences along with my own personal discovery and growth. Through all this I have come to feel we are all of one source. We have many varied descriptions of this source and our role within it, with a thread of commonality running through them all connecting our oneness. I feel that our putting more attention to this oneness is what will bring us together as one operating force of love and understanding. It is my purpose to help oneness and unity to become our functional reality. John Halderman
